should I roll a holy pally or a mage?

I've been a healer for a great deal of my WoW career. I've already got a priest, but I want an alt to play to mix it up a bit. I'll miss being able to heal if I roll mage, but I know mages also have a ton of utility, plus a ton of damage potential. But, you know. Pally. Heals. I'm really torn guys! What do you think I should do?!

ps, no, this is not a "which class is better lol" thread--I know mages and pallies are sort of apples and oranges. I just want to know which class you've had more fun with and why!

(oh, and I plan on running bgs, mostly. I have a lot of friends who PvP, so I'm not terribly worried about having to rely on teammates.)

Since its an alt go for mage. Teleport helps farming a lot + always water for your main:-)

Pvp wise id go with the pala tough, as its the greatest grp support:-)

Roll Holy paladin if you feel you want to bring a lot to the team utility aspect in battlegrounds and make friends quickly.

Roll Mage if you like to 1v1 melee and /lol after frost nova /// drink noob tears
