[Serious Discussion] Create Asian PvP server

The server is based in France, and even for me, as french, it's laggy, too laggy.

Either make another PvP server or add a system that auto-kicks anyone over 200 ping, which chinese players will have due to the server being in europe.

accross the pond in NY, USA i have a 130 ping normally. if not higher, so 200 ping would kick me off every couple days for no reason. -_-

I asked about the 60% of the population is Chinese comment. Still I prefer bad English to Northen European attitude. Playing an MMO with good people with broken english > assholes using english. If you want a petition that has any value, ask a server for the World spammers/assholes and ninjas to an Asshole server. I bet that 90% of the population there would not be chinese (since some irrelevant people here like irrelevant statistics)

Go look at the census thread, I am not your personal google. Nearly all the top guilds by population on Alliance are chinaguilds. The reason the many disparate nationalities on Nostalrius are able to play and interact with each other is they share a mutual language in English. The GMs and server staff, who are mostly French and thus ESL speakers themselves, give support and announcements solely in English because the alternative is to give them for German players in German, Poles in Polish, Russians in Russian, etc.

If you truly can't see the problem inherent in having such a huge part of the playerbase be unable to interact not only with the rest of the playerbase but with the server staff then there is no helping you. I don't know why everyone is so hair trigger with the shouting "DAS RAYSISS!", no one is (or at least I am not) suggesting to pack them in cattle cars and ship them off to happy fun-time camp, we are suggesting to accommodate them by giving them a separate server where the pressure to interact in a language they have a poor understanding of is not as great.

And English-speaking assholes are able to be dealt with and sanctioned in accordance with the ToU precisely because they speak English. At the same time even though it IS in the rules that English is the sole official language of the server, it's in poor taste to ban people just for not speaking it very well, especially when most of the Chinese are here for the same reason the rest of us are, because they just want to have fun playing classic WoW. But it's not very fun playing a game centered around social interaction with people who can't understand your language, whether your language is English or Chinese.

Everyday i see more and more Chinese speaking English , show some respect to them if you want to see respect for your own language.

1st time in my life as Macedonian "non english speaker" i learned English language through EU wow servers which was English , i knew 0 words in English before i joined in this game 10 years ago .

The Game is connecting the world , and with lesser racism / harsh attitude toward foreigners will make this server even greater , within time they will in one way or another learn and play with English.

What makes this Project great is the Activity , thanks mostly toward quality of the server and Chinese influence that make this server more alive.

They respect server rules and this should not be in discussion at all , they deserve to play with us , we want the server how it goes , populated and alive.

The playstyle and attitude toward game content & community speaks for itself, they are here to make money off of the game by selling Gold, Items, and Accounts, and their target market is everybody else here who are playing without disregarding the spirit of the game and/or violating the server's Terms of Use.

Some nice confirmation bias you got there, chap. So basically, are you telling everyone to "wait until they integrate"? This is about as laughable as it is ironic, if we take a look at EU today. Either way, expecting players with zero knowledge of English to suddenly start studying it would maybe make sense if they were forced to use it to communicate with others, if there was a necessity for them to do so. But the Chinese already have their large community here, they talk to each other in their own chats and guilds, there's literally no reason for them to communicate to English-speakers outside of random encounters in the world or in BG groups. Get real, no one's going to start learning a language just for that, especially since the Chinese will soon become a majority here, if not already.

Nostalrius is the most active vanilla server by far even without the Chinese taken into account. Been that way since it started, and it was nearly impossible to bump into a Chinese player then.

For crying out load this isn't about race /language/nationality, its about the fact that we need more servers because 12k + everyday is just killing the server making it unplayable , and the numbers will only grow more in the future. And since we have so many players from China they are more then enough to have a server of they're own therefore making a better gaming experience for everyone .
