No further proof needed. Read the bans appeals. Seriously, go through 4 to 5 pages of them, and you will be disgusted with the common denominator.

It is blatantly obvious that a majority of compromised accounts and gold trafficking either start with "sorry don't speak english from china" or have been ran through the worst translator online that uses commas instead of spaces.

A simple Google search will show you the staggering amount of websites trying to buy and sell Nostalrius accounts, and why compromised accounts are such an issue.

Stop accusing people of racism, stop of accusing people of profiling, stop accusing people of making up statistics. People don't want to see Nostalrius monetized by others the same way retail with account, gold, and rank selling. Everyone has a right to be passionate about that.

This is definitely true. In the past 2 months or so the amount of ban appeals exactly like you described has taken a seriously sharp upturn. I'd say about 80% are for gold trafficing. The other 20% are a mixed bag of account trading, multiboxing, and anti afk botts. It has to be driving the staff crazy by this point.

The thing that is wrong with people's arguments is that they're too flawed by the current situations in life, people get by way too easily and you're allowed to continue your disgruntled whining with success. This is not retail, this is not your democratical decision making and this is most definitely not a project financed by you.

I'am sick of the loud minority screaming racism each time something is said against the invasion of chinese players and it's most likely affecting the decision making of the developers not wanting to hurt their own community. Now, I'm not sure if anyone reading this likes me the least bit, but I'm pretty god damned sure the absolute majority of players are not enjoying the current progression of the realms with this lag.

I have guildies log off and quit leveling during weekends because of the lag and delays during chinese prime time, people I know that have families and can't spend enough time leveling during weekdays due to work. This is concerning, because this in return is impairing progress guilds and new communities that at this time need people. It's.. you can go on forever of the problems that the non-english population swarming are causing.

This realm has apparently got extremely good hardwares to cope with the playerbase, but it's already starting to crawl on it's knees during weekends and now it's monday, it's barely recovering. This will only keep increasing and if you compare the difference from three weeks ago till now, the population has tipped from ~7000 to ~13000. Think for yourself, you sure as fuck aren't paying large sums of money to help finance the servers stability and wellbeing, yet you're here defending the very problem that's making everyone lag.

I know the chinese have terrible internet, mostly gutted by the governement and then continued through a connecting VPN, this individually isn't causing much stress on the realms but when the connection is multiplied a thousandfold upon thousandfold it all starts a snowball effect.

Seriously, something has to be done and you're not helping the project managers by waving racist card after every fucking post made. Quit fucking bitching you cryhard candy ass weaklings. They will do what's necessary, but the chinese are a major issue in this complex situation and you know it wether you like it or not.

This struggle against Chinese players is clear either/or. Any half measure leads to our own destruction. There is no other choice than to fight a pitiless battle against them in every form.

Nostalrius staff has never helped a lazy man. He does not help the coward. He does not help a people that cannot help itself. The principle applies here.

This battle is not fought to its end, then take a look at the server five hundred years from now. I think you will find but few images of Nostalrius.

First off, why aren't any server queue's implemented. Put a cap of like 10000people and have anyone who's AFK for a while get kicked of and the rest in queue. I mean, how did blizzard do it back in the days, with server queues right? I remember back in the days often had to spend an hour in queue and I was fine with it. Then things started levelling out.

It's 19 pages asking for an official response basically.
They acknowledged the ever-increasing Chinese population in their AMA a few weeks ago, but haven't commented any further yet.

This issue has brought me to the forums. I have never posted before. The lag is unbearable. I live in the eastern US. I have a VPN, and bounce throughout Europe in hopes of relief. None. It does nothing.

I won't pretend to know a solution, but that has more to do with not knowing what options are available - something I would imagine the Nostalrius admins alone know.

If the player base originating from Asia is as large as noted (and Nost admins would know this), it doesn't seem like a bad idea to have an asia server. Let's face facts here, the asia player base is massive in general. It's not racist to suggest a realm dedicated to them, if their player numbers are really so high. It's a simple matter of population control.

Well, there's nothing to even out, because there's no other option. There is 1 single PvP server.
