I sincerely doubt that Mangos has any support for that kind of setup. And if it doesn't have support for it implementing it almost certainly isn't realistic.

Actually, we may already have sort of separate servers for EK/Kalimdor. In retail TBC, one of my guildies used to crash Kalimdor everyday for shits and giggles by spamming a summon/dismiss macro for Mr. Wiggles. When he did, only Kalimdor crashed for a minute or two, yielding the "World Server Down" message.

Retail has always had separate servers for the different continents afaik.

The problem is probably, like many others say, that MaNGOS doesnt support this.

I can bet that the devs are working hard to trying to get this to work though.

This is a good discussion and all, but is there any chance that things are going to change?
Hate against Chinese players won't solve problems, but finding a way against gold farmers and overpopulation will have a positive impact imo.

Every night for the past 4 weeks the login server and world server has gone down around the same time. Yet china isnt the problem? ok..............

Please, the asians are a problem. What's the point of 11k online if you can't talk, group or pvp with half of them. They even whisper and talk to me in Chinese assuming I'm one of them.

Usa, eu and russian players communicate normally, but xiaos belong to some different worlds. They never try to adopt. We need fast reaction by admins or best WoW server all times will be lost. I personally made a trip around all of the azeroth and I was shocked by the numbers of xiaos

Until you figure out a solution for the asian pb, please cap the server at 9 or 10k and put a que ,when its evening in china everyday between 12-18 server time it laaaags like hell npcs/mailbox don't load and the game play is garbage .
