Out of curiosity, what would it take - financially speaking - to upgrade the servers to a point where we could easily accommodate the current population with no delays? If this question is inappropriate then forgive me. But I can't help but wonder what $1 a month donation from people, or just a once a year $20 donation, might do for us.

impossible, better hardware does only contribute to server performance to a specific point, the rest is core optimization

10k pop limit. C'mon people...it's an MMO. 10k pop was a great balance prior, hustling and bustling, plenty of people available to co-op on content but not too many where you'd feel anonymous i.e. a ton's name with this pop actually means something. 5k is just too low.

Under no circumstances should they implement a queue. At least not without a bypass, and that would require them to back away from the "no shop" principle.

Queues destroy raiding for anyone with a full time job unless willing to accountshare/use outside programs/exploits to be online while not playing.

You do realize blizzard servers never even got close to 5k population right?

I'm sure at 60 the 10k pop is a blessing. For everyone trying to get to 60 it's a fargin nightmare. Everything is so overcamped (by both realms I'll add) it's nearly impossible to get anything done.

Greetings,

please report the exact server time that you experience lag, the location of your character and what you were doing at that time. Such reports would help the developers to pinpoint bottlenecks in the system and improve the server. Generalized blanket statements are not helpful and serve no purpose.

The GM team.

1800 server time, Ruins of Zul'Mamwe, Stranglethorn Vale. Over 9k players online. I push Hemo and 3-4 later my character hemos.

I think that because of the Quality that Nostalrius seeks to provide; they will and should take this issue seriously whatever that solution will be, something need's to be done.

Keep up the great work Team.

Can't agree more, things need to be done... the lag and the 1 yard view distance are killing it.

6 or 7k cap maybe. It's still a huge amount of people, but it's also manageable both from a player's perspective and we've seen the server working fine with such a load.
you think it be like it is but it's don't
