Contrary to the apparent popular belief, the Nostalrius staff doesn't decide what the price is for herbs on the auction house.
Since we increased the Herb Spawn Rate, there have been an average of 3x more Black Lotuses farmed. There also are a lot of players who have taken this as an opportunity to stockpile lotuses rather than sell them on the auction house. There are some players who have upwards of 500 black lotuses banked.
At this point, the issue seems mainly due to the style of players on the server and not due to a lack of sources. If it continues on this path, perhaps we will address herbs further. If you want to see lower prices of black lotus, encourage your fellow players to sell their stocks rather than horde them.
