Guideline for bank characters

Hello,

Since I have become higher level on the server, I have been wanting to create a bank character, because I have different characters I play on and it would make it alot more convenient to store and sell stuff.

I have been reading on the Support Forum and all the time I see peoples bank character getting banned for various reasons. While I am NOT saying that some of these people were wrongly banned or anything (I do trust the staff on most issues), but I do see accounts being unbanned because they where automaticly detected by the system.

So the thing I am really getting at is, if the staff could write a little something about how to avoid getting banned while doing something legit on the server. Just some general advise. I am NOT saying that they should be so specific that people can avoid getting banned while seling gold or botting (I can see the comments...), but things like: "Avoid using the puplic channels until your level 15", like they already say.

I just don't want my bank character banned for "Traficking gold" or something.

you don't have to fear anything, just don't buy gold

if there is a character above level ~20 on the account you don't have to worry about getting banned for spamming either

What I am worried about is when I move gold around my characters. That might seem to be me buying gold. I was wondering to what extend I can do that without risking triggering some automatic system and risk me getting banned.

Hello,

Let's clarify some things first.
You are allowed to trade money / items / enchants ... between your own accounts (as soon as you respect the terms of use of course).
You are also allowed to use to AH in the way you want (either buy items or transfer items between factions for example).
You are also allowed to give items or money to your friends.
...
So the transactions you listed are just fine.

BUT, buying gold from gold selling websites always leads to a permanent ban of your account.
I just confirmed it for your character.

They have ways to detect gold selling and buying im sure. They know the difference between legitimate gold and bought gold, you shouldn't need to worry

what bothers me is that i always bought gold in retail, wow has always 'said' they didnt allow it but never did anything about it. so there stance is very un-blizlike

If that bothers you then do feel free to leave, no ones forcing you to play here. Those are the rules. Blizzard made money off of each player, they would hardly punish anyone because that meant losing money. Nost devs at least have some morals

Just keep all your characters on one account.

This, you hardly save time by multixboxing anyway. Mails are instant between characters on the same account. I see no reason to make multiple accounts.

Why does it bother you that a private server has a different standard on buying gold than retail? Not everything blizzard did was a good idea.
