Can we tone down the rain a little bit?

Starting to get annoying. It rains constantly now. Yes, we are glad Azeroth has weather but this is going overboard.

A common private server bug. No one has bothered to fix it on all the previous projects, guess no one's fixing it here either.

You know I thought that. I have tried many private servers including 3.3.5 and 1.1.2 and all of them have too much rain.

If we must have all this rain lets at least get some t-storms going. And then there is a .001% chance while leveling at any given moment while raining you a struck by lightening and die. Spice things up.

weather is client-based. If you don't like the current weather in a zone, relog, it should change.

The weather is determined by a random roll in the background of the client though right? So technically you could be "unlucky" and get the same weather again.

Weather is controlled by the server actually. However as Ghostly says it's bugged in most projects. Clients will get a weather start message and frequently not get the weather stop/change server message. Relogging/restarting the client will cause the client to receive the new updated weather.
