Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello,

First of all I want to ask if this is in fact possible.
I stumbled upon some1 else's idea so it's not just mine.

I would like to know if the crew of Nostalrius can / has been keeping track of certain stats.
With this I mean stats like:

Died the most
Killed most civileans
Killed most critters
Has most gold

Etc etc.

Because I think alot of people like to achieve weird or fun stuf!
So it might be an idea if some developer looked it up once every week / month and post it on the forum!
It will give boring people a chance to do stupid stuff ( kill critters when bored for instance ).
And it might be fun to see who died the most etc.

I dont know if this is at all possible and if people would like to have this? I certainly do.
I hope to get feedback about this matter.

I don't know how much work this would be or if it's even possible, but I like the general idea.

Something like a "Nostalrius Trivia" site with random live statistics would be pretty cool.

Of course it's possible. I don't code/script for whatever language WoW uses but I know a little SQL and SQF so I know it can be done. Will it be done...I don't know

it is technically possible (and not a big thing). I've actually done this already using gathered data, although a version using online data would be much better.

The real question is how this fits into Nostalrius' image of being Blizzlike, and that might put the project to a halt.

Mimma, how would this be something that's interfearing with that?

It's like saying realmplayers isn't blizzlike..
Its basicly thesame idea accept raiding stats is world stats I assume?
And thats the thing.

I think alot of people would really enjoy this, but its not something really hard to inplement I think.
Just an admin that can check the stats and types it on the forum once every month or so.

Blizzard did not have such stats available until Wrath, so how would it be Blizzlike if Nostalrius did that?

Realmplayers is a 3rd party site, gathering data using offline files, and this was done during retail Vanilla too.

Blizzlike describes the game itself to me.

A website does not affect the game in any way. In contrary, changes like the cluster development, dynamic respawn rates, changes in DM north and much more DO affect the game in a non-blizzlike way and are accepted by the wide majority of the community.

Either way, I doubt something like this will ever be implemented, but I do like the idea nonetheless.

I think this sounds like a great idea!
