Increasing the requirements for AQ War Effort supplies

Hello,

It seems many players are wondering if the amount of supplies required to complete the War Effort should be increased to make up for the large population on the PVP server. It has been estimated that the War Effort will take as little as a few days to complete if the supply requirement quantities are not increased. Under normal conditions the War Effort would typically last one month or more. Are there any plans to enlarge the demands of the War Effort? Thank you in advance and keep up the great work!

The contents of a node cannot contribute to the War Effort, or any other cause, without a player to harvest that node. With the large number of players on Nostalrius, nodes are extracted far quicker after respawning than on a server with less players. Some servers took as little as three weeks to complete the War Effort on retail servers while others took months. I find it hard to believe that the faster servers completed the War Effort sooner than others due to differences in respawn timers since all servers enjoyed very comparable respawn rates.

Also, players today have knowledge of the War Effort requirements, making stockpiling a reality. There may very well be alt-characters loaded with supplies prepared for turn-ins. The exact requirements for the War Effort were unknown and unforeseen on retail.

The final settings for the AQ War Effort will not be announced and will be a surprise to players come 1.9 patch day. Anything you see on a PTR will not be the amounts at launch.

How long war effort do you want? With this population, getting player to neutral with Brood of Nozdormu is gonna be total war. Imagine 5-10 guilds (overestimating) per Hive trying to gather carapaces. Controlling one cave 15/7 for 2 weeks is required for neutral, now split that with how many guilds there will be trying the same. All depending on dynamic spawn time and skinning of course.

Also to anyone trying to get "Scarab Lord", there's no title in vanilla, and the mount running animation has super low fps making eyes bleed.

When people already know the outcome of all this, they might rather just save their materials instead of getting lousy repeatable quest rewards which might not be profitable in the end.

I'm sure the devs have access to statistics of what to expect and will do changes if necessary.

if they keep the req as it was in original wow , the entire war effort will be over in a day

I could understand them increasing the requirements by about sixfold.

On a serious note, I hope they make it more needed to compensate for the population or we'd be done in a matter of 10-20 hours as you know there is people who have saved up what they can thus far for the war effort.

i support this , not on racism way but on "flexibility" .

Asians (which include many nations) are most popular on farming , "original" retail requirement in server will be filled pretty fast.

Requirement should be 6 times minimum higher than retail in order to make "supplies" more competitive and challenging.
