In regards of players that get banned and can't live with that and start to bump ~8 months old threads to make GM's "mad", you should implement an automatic close for threads that are inactive for one month or longer.

If the last post is older than 1 month (or what ever time you prefer) in a thread, it gets automatically closed.

They could probably just fix the issue at hand and there wouldn't be the temptation to necro bump or even create more threads about the topic.

OP is talking about the few sourpuss people who have been spamming the forums recently with gibberish necroing threads with no real purpose other than to cause a headache. Pretty much: baby lost bottle, baby cry.

OP is suggesting to close the old threads to prevent such idiocy.

Edit: if you check the account support section you will see what OP and I are talking about unless the people in charge of deleting posts took my advise and just IP banned the poor SOB and deleted all his posts with a simple command.
