Is this scope affecting melee +hit like its supposed to for awhile or the updated ranged only?

In this thread we speculate about if an item that's not in the game will be bugged or not.

it is an enchant for ranged weapon, thus should not affect melee, and vice-versa.

It should start dropping before BWL and work on melee until Naxx is released. Anything else would be incorrect.

Re-Added in patch 1.10
In patch 1.10, the Biznicks 247x128 Accurascope is being changed to only affect ranged attacks.

Biznicks 247x127 Accurascope now only affects ranged attacks, and Elemental Sharpening Stones no longer will affect ranged weaponry. The schematic for the Accurascope will now drop once again in the Molten Core.

Works on melee attacks
The schematic drop was disabled for a period of time earlier on in the game's life, because it used to give hit rating to melee weapons as well.

Thank you for the info Rexas. I'd really like to see a staff respond to this when they decide what is going to happen with this.
