Maitoz just got banned for one week for basically using LazyPig, an addon 90% of the population uses, which basically just presses /script JoinBattlefield(0,1) into the chat for you.
This is entirely the developers fault for not blocking this function for Alterac Valley, where even Feenix fixed this.
More importantly, why was he not asked to stop, instead instantly getting banned?
The Join Battlefield API - http://wowwiki.wikia.com/API_JoinBattlefield - has been present since the server release, and was present in retail. This affords for the script /Script JoinBattlefield(0,1) which is used by the lazypig addon - please see line 768 of the lua.
The use of this functionality has been present on the server from day 1 and as it was disabled on other projects it was our belief that it was kept active on this server to enable an authentic early vanilla experience - as is one of the aims of the project. I feel it is also necessary to note that this functionality was possible throughout vanilla WoW.
Guybrush wrote:Blizzard stance on JoinBattlefield: Allowed.No. StinkyQueue is legal to use and will continue to be so for as long as Blizzard allows it to be so. When it's no longer legal to use, it will CEASE TO FUNCTION.
In no case will using it get you banned.

StinkyQueue uses JoinBattlefield as well for group queues.
