Yes, I'm fairly sure the weekly fishing tournament as well as the Arena event will be active from release.

I have a good question, do they have timed fish? WoW had some fish that were only around depending on time of day, or had catch rates affected by the time. I bet that's one a private server would miss. Many players probably don't even know about this. You can see differing rates discussed in comment histories for any of the affected fish. For example:

You sir, really don't know Skuggor he most definitely told the staff about this a while back, couldn't tell if it was ever fix'd though.

I only knew about the Summer Bass and the Winter Squid - which were obviously seasonal. I didn't know there were daily time things...

Yeah, the fishing seasons for Wintersquid & Suer bass were fixed in 2012

I honestly don't remember myself, they might be scripted I guess, if the seasonal ones are, but we'd need Skuggor to be sure here
