Does Perception (human racial) even do anything? I've never seen it actually increase stealth detection. Regardless of whether or not it's active, stealthed mobs will not be visible until they attack me.

I've never particularly seen it work in PvP either, unless the target is green to me. And even then I can still only see them from ~5yd

Easiest way to test this is to go find a stealth mob and use Perception. If you can't see it after the use and the mob isn't of a higher level of you (not even sure if this would be the case) then I think it'd be safe to say it isn't working as intended.

Who knows though, Nost thinks a lot of things work differently than they actually did. So, rip. Sorry..

This. Trust the rogues posting in here, perception is working just fine.

Maybe it works in PvP, but it doesn't seem to do shit in PvE.

It works in PvE for my mage and warlock alts. I was using it to spot stealthed mobs at Northfold Manor in Arathi Highlands and could see them from ~20 yards away with it up (warlock was +1 level to the mobs).

You're actually using the ability correct? It wasn't made into a passive until the WotLK pre-patch.

Make sure the mobs you are testing on are actually "stealthed" and not Invisible. Two different things.
