It is not weird at all. Tanks are the most sought after role for 5-10 mans, which means they can form groups easier and faster than anyone else. This causes them to burn through and gear faster than anyone else which leads to them no longer wanting/needing to do 5-10 mans.

Instances require 1 tank per 5 people.

Raids don't require 1 tank per 5 people.

You don't even need half a brain to figure that out. Besides, all DPS warriors in a raid also have tank gear. You may now stop being stupid.
