Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I am either bugged or missing something really obvious.

Whenever I try to learn any apprentice crafting skill the trainers have the option for "Apprentice x" but train is grayed out.

I am over lvl 5 .. and have 10 copper.. cannot understand why I don't have the option to click train.

Went to two different cities.

So what is the stupid obvious thing I am completely missing?

Wanted to give this a bump -- Pretty sure my char is bugged. Friend said he can walk up and train freely.

Again.. trying to learn any base crafting skill. The ability to learn apprentice is there. It is green. If I click it my "Train" button is grayed out.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you already have 2 proffessions?

Just skinning/mining/fishing for gathering skills.

No crafting skills - which is why I am confused.

I get this:

You can only have 2 primary professions...

Skinning/Mining are both primary, as is leatherworking.

Professions are not split via Gathering/Crafting but by Primary/Secondary

Secondary = First Aid, Fishing, Cooking (you can learn all 3)
All other professions are primary

Ah then it was a dumb question!
