well... I'm not sure how to tell you this, but

the server hasn't been released yet, nobody else can play yet either

It hasn't been released yet. All you can do right now is work on prebuilding your UI or try to bring more people behind its launch. By the looks of things, Corecraft and Kronos, other upcoming private servers, both have much bigger followings. Nostalrius needs more.

I don't know if we should go berserk like ED about advertising (If you talk about an another server you are instantly banned for few days)

ED might be a crap server, but it currently has one of the biggest populations for a private server, probably more than every other currently active Classic combined. Nostalrius should make it their intent to fix all the problems that ED has(there's plenty to choose from), as I'm sure many players would happily move to a better server if one existed. I can only wonder how many must be playing it out of desperation as there is no other Classic server with a noticeable population or decent scripting.
