vQueue is a utility for finding players similar to the functionality of oQueue and CallToArms. vQueue helps to keep your chat clean of lfg/lfm spam by putting it into an organized interface.

After some additional development I got v1.2 out for you guys read the notes below to see what's new.

Code: Select all

v1.2.1
- added required ace libraries

v1.2
- rewrote frame creation for groups, categories, and the wait list should be less wasteful and load quicker
- vQueue will now only hide chat messages that are used (if the option selected)
- indicator on minimap button when a new player joins your wait list
- tooltip on minimap to show player count in wait list
- rewrote the scrollbars to work better
- arguments added to the chat search list
- added indicator to show selected category in the category list
- new button design to match the frame colors
- shows minlvl and needed roles under the category title when hosting a group
- all roles will be selected by default when creating a new group
- role selection now uses check marks instead of just changing colors
- can now reply to players through the UI even if you are in a group
- fixed a bug where WHO info was not coming to the wait list
- changed the default group finder title to include min lvl
- moved find checkbox to options menu
- changed "create group" to "Start new group"
- added overlay to hide the wait list while editing group info
- changed text fields to match new style
- difficulty colors on category listings
- category title now includes minimum level
- categories are now always expanded
- fixed a bad argument error

v1.1.3
-Worked on changing UI a bit, changed textures, added highlight to category list, etc.
-Changed my chat filter to work with chat addons should be more reliable
-Added a button in options to fix the order of chat channels
-Tooltip on minimap button to show players in your wait list
-added some more stuff to hopefully fix the chat /who

v1.1.2
-added a couple arguments for dps role
-fixed some issues with /who

v1.1.1
-Too much blue in druid color fixed that
-whispers were being sent when groups got unlisted, removed those
-sometimes getting lua errors from chat filter hopefully fixed

v1.1
-Minimap icon now saves its position
-Selected role saves between characters
-Group listing now always stays up to date with latest vQueue groups - no more need for a refresh button
-find button is now a toggle option - enabled by default
-Scans joined chat channels for people lfg/lfm and adds the players to their respective sections
-ability to filter channel messages from chat in the options menu
-People hosting groups can now also browse existing groups
-added a wait list button when hosting to return to your player queue - also shows players in queue on button
-categories on left show amount of groups in their section on the text
-level field in create group is filled with a suggested minimum level
-group name is now shown under category title in the wait list

Would be really cool if atleast guild leaders spread this on their sites, so the people who actually use this have brains :) for fast and effective dungeon runs.

Also when v1.0 is out, Nostalrius should push this on home page

Will people stop acting like Lua files which can only be executed by your WoW client can contain viruses already?

Addons can contain coding that gets your accounts User/Pass and/or monitor your in-game chat. Which something I wouldn't enjoy.
And an addon from a guy who made his first post today ain't really something I would trust so easy.

I don't have many posts either, but here's a link to the virustotal scan of it:

Someone else did the scan a couple hours ago.

You are massively misinformed. First of all, a virustotal would NEVER catch a "Lua virus", especially not one written by someone from scratch. Second of all, all his code is public on GitHub, anyone can take a look at it. It looks clean.

Also, unless there's an *.exe file in there, that you are stupid enough to click on, you will never catch a virus, especially not a keylogger that steals your account information. In fact, the most you can access from within an addon is the character name. Yeah, you could technically monitor the chat and then send it to someone else ingame using addon messages, but that does in no way qualify as a virus and requires both users to be online at the same time.
Which brings me to my second point again, all the code is public right there. Take a look at it. If you don't have any knowledge of how Lua works, the WoW API does or what actually is/isn't possible, I'd prefer you kept your half-truths to yourself - we really don't need any of that unnecessary fear mongering.

Thank you ayyyyylmao. I'll test it myself and pass it down to the guild probably.

@schaka
Dunno why you got stuck on the virus part and got all sassy about it, there could be something malicious either you like it or not. I don't trust people who make this first post and it's a link blindly, as for the coding we both know that it's true that you can send all that info as this have been an issue with many addons, especially those that come from private servers.
All I did was asking for confirmation that it's legit I didn't say that it has something. I might seen something wrong or overlooked a sentence that could be malicious. So i can pass it down to my guild safely. Thank you for your time tho.
