"Account closed and no longer valid" login issue

Hello! Recently i have been getting the error "This World of Warcraft account has been closed and is no longer available for use." I have checked the site to see if i was banned but says my account is still active. So just wondering what has happened and what are the required steps to start playing again.
Character i was playing when disconnected - Averan. Cheers!
