OP did you try reporting them for botting? Not the first time it's happened. Could be an addon though, but again not the first time Nos has come down on automated gameplay, ie the mage who used trade dispenser.

I'm almost certain it's against the rules but likely there's nothing that GMs can do about it. They don't have the time or resources to go after these bots because they'll likely just pop right back up. Best bet is to put "test" items up to see how much the bots are willing to buy stuff for and just put the price of the item you want transferred higher than that amount. It sucks but in a toxic community like this, that's the answer.

This is really the only actionable issue here and you should report them. I'm pretty sure they'll pop right back up again though.

You're right that the replies here stink. People will laugh, til it happens to them in one form or another. Maybe hire a hunter either side to clear them out, but if they are botting they'll just run back and res automatically.

Best to do it as Fozzie suggests. Find someone who needs horde gold and do a swap with them.

i wasn't afk. i actually replied to you. but you know. keep lying.

oh and btw. just because you're dumb enough to put an item on the AH for a copper when i'm going to transfer doesn't make someone a bot.... it just makes you dumb

Lol

Putting up an item for 1c on neutral AH, not expecting it to get sniped is just dumb.
Doing it again the next day is fucking retarded

Anyways, I dont think anyone blames you. Judging from the posts in this thread most of us agrees that this Lsdee guy is just dumb :)

Not defending the stupidity of repeating the same mistake. However I do wonder how these items [and others] get sniped within a 1 second window.

If an item gets sniped immediately, this points to an automated script. Even if you're not actually afk, but using an addon which automates a process for you, you're still a bot.

And this kind of addon usage should be a bannable offense to be honest.

Just my 2 cents.

Few things...

1. This is not stealing. If you put something up for auction then anyone is entitled to buy it.

2. Everyone's entitled to make mistakes. To make the exact same mistake twice is obviously stupid but I don't think anyone (including the OP) is claiming that it isn't. But no doubt people are going to continue to state the obvious like it's some kind of revelation.

3. If someone snipes your auction within one second of you placing it then you could put it down to coincidence, i.e. someone just happened to be browsing that page the moment you put it up. If it happens twice then the likelihood of it not being automated in some way becomes unlikely.

The key questions here are: Was this automated? If yes, then how does the Nost staff feel about this kind of automation?
