vanilla.re will take over Nost. They have already servers ready and will go on within the 48 Hours after the Database Release.

Good post!

But i think this case if more about the principles and the way of doing things. I wont regret my time spent here, but i wont forget how it all went down either.

Very good post. I hope other players will see the situation the same way that you see it.
My journey on Nostalrius just lasted 7 days, but i'll remember it forever.

I also remember very good moments with NOPE people... :p

sad little man childs who really should go outside more often.

I find it oddly fitting that Theoloras being salty as fuck for no reason is the 1st response to this thread, which has now been viewed by everyone on retail WoW Reddit and stickied by Nostalrius staff.

Also, hopefully this post is gives a good chuckle to certain parties who were given a certain piece of information earlier tonight.

I guess it's a really strange thing to be memorable, but doing that one mini-dungeon of sorts in Redridge that's full of those elite Blackrock Orcs will always be a nice memory of the server.

Never in all my time of playing on retail did I get anyone to do the quests in this fort before until this day came around. I grouped up with a couple other folks for the gnoll killing quests just outside of this area. We spent a good while killing gnolls and fending off the occasional Horde that decided to come strollin through. Then someone was like "Hey, we all got the elite quests?" and then we headed over to the fort to do that quest(s?).

Now I guess there's nothin to special about that at all, but I unno folks I grouped with on retail (if I got anyone to group with at all) usually leave as soon as everything's done for them, but these guys all stuck around until everyone was done and then went around to look for more things to do together.

This was also when I realized that I really really wanted to play a Paladin and nothing else on Nost. I was originally DPSing with the group since I am Ret, but that was getting pretty dangerous as folks were having to eat after every pull and suddenly I decided to just stand back and heal instead and everything from that point on went as smooth as butter. Got a chance to use all my cool utility stuff and heals so I truly felt like a support which has always been my favorite position to be in games.

Which that leads into another thing. Throughout my time leveling as a Paladin I would always go out of my way to buff and heal someone that I see when I'm traveling. On several occasions I ended up saving the person and almost always, whether they really needed a heal or not, I would later get a whisper from the person telling me thanks in a truly grateful manner (So not like a quick ty or thnx, but folks typing out full sentences of appreciation).

Here's a recording from last night. We came full circle. Worked hard only to return to the grave.

I'm gonna miss all of you, this has been the best mmo experience i've ever had. It easily parallels retail circa 2005-2008.

This video has probably been posted elsewhere on here - hell, maybe on this thread even - but it definitely made me feel better about the Nost situation, which I've been bummed out over ever since it was announced.

Heroes never die, eh? Thanks for the brilliant few months I was able to spend with all of you guys on the PvE server, fellas.
