I have just completed the procedure and can confirm it works.

1. Create an Elysium account below:

https://elysium-project.org/play

If you are planning to transfer either Nostalrius or Elysium characters to your new account, we advise you to use the same e-mail you used on your previous account. If you do not do so, your account will be flagged for investigation of potential account trading in the future.

Note: The email you choose has a unique constraint in that you cannot register more than one account with the same email. Additionally, your chosen email cannot be changed and requires verification after creation.

2. Verify your account with the link given in the welcome email to unlock your account.
(Check inbox or spam folder of your email)

3. (After you verify successfully, enter new credentials to the webpage you are directed to.) You are now logged into your account.

Transfer your Nostalrius characters on your empty account:

4. Go to Nostalrius token generator page, below.

https://tokens.nostalrius.org/

5. Generate your token by filling either Username/Password or Username/Email. (Nostalrius Game Server Username (aka Game Login) & Nostalrius Game Server Password or Nostalrius Account Email & Nostalrius Game Server Username (aka Game Login)

PLS NOTE: YOUR NOSTALRIUS FORUM USERNAME & PASSWORD IS NOT THE SAME WITH YOUR NOSTALRIUS GAME SERVER USERNAME & PASSWORD.

6. If your chose Username/Email, you will receive your token via email. Check your spam folder. You're limited to one attempt per minute.

7. Copy the token. (Token is a wall of text made of mostly random characters).

8. Go to Nostalrius Transfer page in your account's control panel, here.

https://elysium-project.org/control

9. Enter the token. (Paste token on space provided as per instructions)

10. Your characters are now transferred.

11. Change the content of the file realmlist.wtf to set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org.

You can use the Elysium Control panel to see a list of your chars.

Is there any way to figure out what email you used on nostalrius so you don't use the wrong one on elysium

Yep. Same. I can't remember crap, and I've played on like 10 different servers since Nost shut down, a lot of times they recommend deleting WTF folder, so I can't use that to see usernames.

Fate is saying let go of the past and start fresh.

There is data recovery software you can use.

If you still own the hard drive that you had installed the WoW client on, you can run the data recovery software on it, and it will retrieve your client as well as the WTF folder containing your account name.

This process can take a long time and depending on software used, might be annoying to shift through all deleted files to find the one you need.

Wow that sounds a little intense, but no judgements here. :)

Currently running a deep scan using EaseUS Data Recovery Free.

So far I've only found the interface and screenshots folder... Interface is showing my old addons but I don't think my account name is listed anywhere in there. I may be SOL after all.
