That's too disappointing. Would have been nice if they just released two fresh servers instead.

Guess i'll just have to go with the fresh pvp server.

That would've been a very bad decision.

1 new server for now is the best option. They might consider making another new one in 6-12 months. Depending on the playerbase obviously.

PvE is close to BWL release (still 1 month), so just start there.

I'm starting with some friends and would rather start on an even slate, so I'm going to go with the fresh pvp server. Thanks for the info though!

One very well might come eventually, given how incredibly populated these servers are. But not yet, as the PvE servers are still actually very young.

PvE doesn't need a fresh start since it's just a casual test server more or less. There's no advantage to be gained by older players so it doesn't matter how old it is. You're still going to progress the exact same. Just some people will be a higher level with better gear for a while, but it doesn't matter because they have 0 interaction with you.

PVE is a casual test server? Not sure what to say to that.

As for the other argument, that's like arguing that Diablo 2 Ladder resets are purposeless since it's primarily a PVE game. People wouldn't have any incentive to start fresh characters on the new ladder if other people could just copy their characters from non-ladder to the new ladder. They would just play on a different server where the new ladder starts everyone fresh.
