I miss the golden era of vanilla privates too, not gonna lie

Nost was better because it was an experience that was tuned for the classic feel. Where as the real classic game was deluded by over/under populated servers.

Blizzard failed to realize how relaunching vanilla wow needed to be properly stewarded and things needed to change to meet player needs.

Because it was made by another people, it was played by another people, this is only thing that defines everything.
It's time to accept that it will never happen again, only you can do now is live in the present, play non-Blizz games with old friends etc., this is different company now, they wont do any good product anymore, they even can't do remaster

Having played classic from day 1 to now being in sunwell, awaiting wrath, there's no doubt in my mind that Nostalrius is king and always will be.

Classic has a massive botting issue and blizzard are too lazy to do anything about it, whatever their reasons are for being so shite, Nostalrius were straight on botters and gold sellers/buyers like flies on shit. That's just one of the many things nost did better than blizzard, the small indie company.

Sorry to necro a thread but I don't stop by here often even tho I miss this place immensely.

This is supposed to be a hundred times better than a private server right, and yet this doesn’t feel nearly as fun overall.Seems like something is really lacking. I don’t know, maybe it’s just that we don’t feel the love for it?

Maybe the communication is the real issue? Maybe the nostalrius forums were something really special as well? Maybe it’s because that’s when tons of people tried vanilla for the first time?
